Bibliography

The memoirs of Mme Gleizes and correspondence of Poznanski, Léger and de Noailles with Gleizes come from the Gleizes archive which was divided between a collection held privately by the publisher Henri Viaud and another held by the Fondation Albert Gleizes and lodged in the Kandinsky library at the George Pompidou Centre in Paris. The Viaud collection, which I used extensively for my own book on Gleizes, is currently being dispersed by auction. The elements quoted from the Poznanski correspondence, with the exception of the letter of February 1923, are in the Kandinsky Library. All other material quoted from the Gleizes archive come from the Viaud collection, though there may be duplicates in the Kandinsky Library.

I am grateful to John Minahane for helping with translating the German texts quoted from Kubimus
